Colossal Crumbs - A performance from puppets and people.

Escape into a world that is obscure and intriguing, that offers smallness in abundance and giant excrescences on a playground for puppets. Gorge on minute details and engage with gargantuan flesh. Enter a world that is more precise and more meticulously elucidated than our own…

A fascination with fat, fruit, flesh and wobbly body parts has continually led me to create work about consumption, body image, and gender. This, alongside an adoration and commitment to puppetry, has culminated here in a bizarre array of intriguing, genderless, anthropomorphic beings, that go on journeys through strange and beautiful surroundings.

Colossal Crumbs incorporates large and small-scale puppetry with dance and mime. It reveals fragments of the everyday stories of three different characters. As well as working with narrative, the show explores the sculptural set, which itself performs continual transformations and performs a cyclic system of consuming and producing it's own surroundings.
